The year 2012 marked a turning point in the Bank Retirees’ movement in India.
Previously a silent and dormant group, Bank retirees became a vibrant, assertive, and unified force.
This transformation was initiated by the All India Bank Pensioners' and Retirees Confederation (AIBPARC) , which saw the need to unite Bank Retirees across all cadres under a common banner.
This received widespread support, marking the beginning of a new era in Bank retirees movement .
Subsequently, several individual bank-level retirees' associations were formed and affiliated with AIBPARC, strengthening the national movement.
Among these, the Federation of Bank of India Pensioners' and Retirees' Associations emerged as one of the most prominent and active affiliate.
It is dedicated to safeguarding the rights, dignity, and welfare of retired employees from all cadres of the Bank of India.
The Federation focuses on:

Champions the cause of Bank retirees to protect their rights and ensure welfare

The Federation & Confederation are endowed with time tested leadership that had spent more than 3 decades of selfless service in the cause of Bank employees and Officers which has enriched this movement of Bank Retirees. It is a matter of pride that our Federation is also a source of leadership to the Confederation. As a result, the consistent efforts of the Organisation could succeed in enhancing the quantum of ex gratia to pre-01-01-1986 retirees not covered under Pension scheme, introduction of Group Medical Insurance Scheme for Retirees and subsequent improvements therein, improvements in the Family Pension, bringing in uniformity in the matter of Dearness Relief to pre- November, 2002 Pensioners, extending the Pension scheme to the Retirees resigned after minimum service of 20 years etc. Presently, the issues such as provision for Structured Forum to Retirees Organisations at Industry level for grievance redressal, Updation of Pension etc. are being pursued.
